Duracoat Superfast is a high-quality paint product often used for walls and surfaces, valued for its fast-drying properties. Here’s a step-by-step guide to its installation/application process and how it works:

Materials and Tools Needed

  1. Duracoat Superfast Paint (20 liters)
  2. Stirring stick or mechanical mixer
  3. Clean water (if thinning is required)
  4. Paintbrush, roller, or spray gun
  5. Sandpaper or scraper (for surface preparation)
  6. Primer (if needed)
  7. Protective gear (gloves, goggles, mask)

Installation/Application Process

1. Surface Preparation

  • Clean the surface: Ensure the surface is free of dust, grease, dirt, and any loose or flaking paint.
  • Repair defects: Fill cracks and holes with a suitable filler and sand them smooth.
  • Smoothen the surface: Use sandpaper or a scraper to even out the surface for better paint adhesion.

2. Priming (If Required)

  • Apply a primer appropriate for the surface (e.g., masonry primer for walls).
  • Allow the primer to dry completely before applying Duracoat Superfast.

3. Mixing the Paint

  • Open the 20-liter container and stir the paint thoroughly using a stick or mechanical mixer to ensure uniformity.
  • If thinning is required, add clean water gradually (about 10-15% of the paint volume) and mix well.

4. Application

  • First Coat:
    • Use a brush, roller, or spray gun to apply the first coat of paint evenly.
    • Allow it to dry for about 1-2 hours (depending on humidity and temperature).
  • Second Coat:
    • Apply a second coat for better coverage and finish.
    • Let it dry for the recommended time.

5. Drying and Finishing

  • The paint dries to the touch quickly (typically 30-60 minutes), but allow at least 24 hours for full curing.
  • Clean your tools immediately after use to avoid paint drying on them.

How It Works

  • Quick Drying: Duracoat Superfast uses advanced resin technology, allowing it to dry faster than conventional paints.
  • Excellent Adhesion: It bonds well to a variety of surfaces when the surface is properly prepared.
  • Durable Finish: Once dry, it forms a protective, long-lasting, and washable layer that resists peeling and fading.
  • Easy Maintenance: The smooth finish allows for easy cleaning of painted surfaces.
